Kevin Jennings "Safe School Czar"
As incredible as this sounds, it is quite possible that the man who poses the single greatest danger to America’s children (in regard to promoting their sexual abuse) may well be the very man chosen by President Obama to be his ‘Safe School Czar.” It is not only time for Kevin Jennings to be forced from his position as an advisor to the President, but it is also time for a special prosecutor to thoroughly investigate Jennings as a possible accomplice in child sexual exploitation and the distribution of hard-core child pornography… to children themselves. I’ll explain in a moment.
But first: Those of you who read Grand Rants on a regular basis may recall a piece I did back at the beginning of October, highlighting the questionable past of Barack Obama’s choice for “Safe School Czar” Kevin Jennings. You can read that article by clicking here.
Jennings was the founder (and, for years, Executive Director) of the Gay/Lesbian/Straight Education Network, aka “GLSEN.” The mission statement for the organization states:
The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.
However, controversy has surrounded the organization since audio tapes of one of their workshops were made public where it was discovered that the focus of the discussion was on graphic sexual acts and involved members as young as 14 years old.
But now Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft has published a shocking report submitted by Scott Baker from Breitbart TV that clearly shows GLSEN (while under the executive direction of Kevin Jennings) was – and still is – promoting a selection of books as “recommended reading” to boys and girls from kindergarten through High School that are so graphic, they would easily qualify for most communities’ definition of hard-core pornography.
While you can look at the list by clicking the above link, one need only read selected passages to know instantly that this is inappropriate material for children of any age, regardless of sexuality. While Grand Rants would never post the kind of content found in these books being recommended for children by GLSEN and their Executive Director (at that time) Kevin Jennings, those of you who prefer to see proof of the content may do so by clicking here at your own risk.
I warn you, the content is very disturbing. The GLSEN web site describes these videos and publications as pre-screened. That eliminates the possibility later of claiming they didn’t know of the graphical descriptions of sexual behavior most straights and gays would describe as perverted.
The most critical issue, however, is that Jennings is part of the equation. This was his organization. And Barack Obama once again has shown incredibly poor judgement in Jennings’ selection as an advisor.
As for the conference I reported on in my previous rant on Jennings: if anyone questions whether or not Jennings was aware of the group discussions promoting sexual acts between adults and children as young as 14, the following taped conversation with a Massachusetts teacher who could no longer remain silent on the issue establishes that Jennings was the Keynote speaker of the conference.

What Can We Do?
It’s important to remember that we still have the power to evoke significant change. One look at the shift in Obama’s support in the past year clearly illustrates that the American public, when aroused, is a formidable force. There are several things we can do collectively and individually:
- Contact your Representatives and Senators. Demand that they demand the resignation and removal of Kevin Jennings. Cite specific examples (you are welcome to use a link to this article or directly to the links within this article) to support your demand.
- Forward the URL of this article to anyone you know that you feel would share your outrage.
- Post a link to this article in discussion boards so others might find it as well.
- Write letters to the corporate sponsors of GLSEN that you will boycott their products or services until they withdraw their financial support for GLSEN. Be specific as to what activities of GLSEN you are incensed about. The issue here is not heterosexuality vs homosexuality, it’s about extremely inappropriate (and possibly criminal) behavior in purposely exposing children to pornographic material. During his campaign, Barack Obama was quoted as saying,
“We live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you’ll join me as we try to change it.”
At the time, it just sounded like he was “stuck on stupid.” However, we now know that not to be the case. It’s intentional. This is just another example of what you get with President Obama. If he can continue to stand behind Kevin Jennings at this point, he is condoning the distribution of hard-core pornography to our children. And that ought to be a criminal, if not impeachable, offense. In all likelihood, it is neither. However, the court of public opinion has a lot more flexibility… and a lot less tolerance.

In the mean time, I can’t stress enough the value of e-mails, letters and phone calls to your Congressmen, the list of sponsors above and anyone you know who might find Jennings’ behavior as despicable.
The bottom line: WHAT a child learns about sex and WHEN they learn about it (as well as FROM WHOM) should be the decision of a child’s PARENT and not a sexual pervert. Thank you.
While I find the behavior despicable here is a strategy the left can’t defend as far as I can tell. I tested this strategy in a forum filled with attack lefties.
Those on the left will go through unbelievable mental gymnastics to justify presenting most of the material to students. The one thing that can’t be justified is the list of gay bars in the booklet “Queer in the 21st Century” that was handed out to high school students in Massachusetts in 2006.
That was handed out at Brookline High by GLSEN under Jennings watch.
The left will stamp and scream that Brewster, the sophomore that came to Jennings for counseling when he was having a sexual relationship with an adult was sixteen. Jennings book does not make it clear that such was known during the interview, or that such was the case when the affair started.
The child also admitted to vague suicidal ideation when asked about condom use. These circumstances lead to poor judgement. More importantly this incident demonstrates that gay issues may preclude student safety to Jennings.
A list of local gay bars handed out to minors re-enforces this.
The larger point is that the man left education fifteen years ago to focus on gay student issues and bullying of GLBT students.
While that may make him uniquely qualified to speak to gay issues, most students are not gay and sexual orientation is not the impetus for most bullying.
The man is simply not qualified in matters of school safety and the “Queer in the 21st Century” booklet also contained information on drugs presented in a way that could be construed as promoting drug use by teens.
Mr Jennings has no demonstrated qualifications in non violent conflict resolution, physical campus security, emergency procedures, gang activity, narcotics distribution prevention, or any other number of issues that relate to safe and drug free schools.
There is no defense on the above, no screaming of charges of homophobia.
The man as spent the last fifteen years focusing on an under served and at risk minority. Admirable as that may be in some circles, he is simply unqualified for the task of protecting all students from all threats and drugs in a high level advisory capacity.
That’s the Chicago way, and that’s how you get Capone….
This subject is one of the more perplexing issues of our day. If we don’t protect our children, then almost anything else we do is superfluous. They are, after all, our future.
Yet, we see and hear many instances where the public in general seems to have some level of lethargy when it comes to standing up for our children. From letting the schools become propaganda factories instead of educational facilities to using kid gloves when punishing child abusers, the lack of proper attention toward the task of providing for our children is abysmal.
We can’t entrust our future to the nanny state. Mr. Jennings and Mr. Obama are just two of the more visible examples of the folly of such a path. The strength of the family and the individual are more than just eroded by such foolishness, it is broken down by it. The result can be a slide into the depths of perversion as well as totalitarian rule. A quick glimpse at European history, with the Nazi Party and Stalinist Russia, shows us that along with the inherent power of the State comes the dark side of humanity.
Shame on us if we fail to stop this trend before it is too late.
Tom and Doug… both excellent posts, bringing up some solid points. If we do not acknowledge and respond to the devil’s taunting, we deserve no less than what he provides.
In Kevin Jennings, we have evil personified. To expose our children to the bowels of behavior at such an early age is a victory for pedophiles everywhere. And self-annointed “progressives” like Obama are just too blind with their own power to see the impact. But I guarantee you if anyone approached his daughters with literature similar to the filth Jennings’ group (with his approval) recommends, you’d find yourself on the bad end of the Secret Service’s ugly sticks.
To all our readers: We are rapidly approaching the end of the line. There IS no lower depths of child abuse than that being proferred by Jennings and his squadron of sexual predators.
IF YOU WILL NOT ACCEPT THE RESPONSIBILITY TO TAKE ACTION AND GET JENNINGS REMOVED FROM HIS POSITION AND TERMINATE GLSEN’S ACCESS TO YOUR/OUR CHILDREN, WHO DO YOU THINK WILL? WILL YOU BE SATISFIED AS THEY SNICKER BEHIND OUR BACKS AND CONTINUE “BUSINESS AS USUAL?”
