“About me…” Hmmm…
I truly don’t like writing about myself.
I grew up in the great Midwest, the middle of three children in a middle-class family. My father was a journalist, back when that actually meant something; my mother was a home-maker and ballet teacher. I went to college out east and eventually ended up married to my sweetheart and living in that bluest of blue states, Massachusetts.
I’m a presentation designer by profession, working at an international advertising agency in a large East Coast city, and enjoy reading, writing, gardening, boating, and am proud to be owned by a gorgeous Ragdoll cat. I have an interest in almost everything (except hockey and boxing–never could quite see what all the fuss is about). I can be reached via email at stoutcat AT comcast DOT net and I’m on Twitter as Stoutcat.
Note: Gerry passed away January 26, 2013. We are still coping with the loss.
Former editor of two magazines; I used to provide content for the web site of a well-known liberal newspaper until I could no longer tolerate the hypocrisy. I spent over twenty years in the high-tech community, during which time I once worked with Ray Tomlinson, the creator of e-mail (take THAT, Al Gore). I’m a hopeless romantic and the eternal optimist. When you think about it, in the long run, the pessimist may be right, but the optimist has more fun on the journey. And, after all, isn’t that what life is?
