Bill Whittle on Eternal Ideas

Once again, Bill Whittle of Pajamas Media and PJTV, has drilled right down to the essence of his subject. And once again, I found myself after watching his video, wanting to stand up and yell, “Yes, yes, YES!!!”

Watch the whole thing.

Someone tell me: Why isn’t this man running for public office?

Why isn’t this man running for public office?

    He’s too smart for that?

Probably true, but he’s the kind of person we need! Actually several hundred men and women like him could turn the country around in a heartbeat.

This made me weep for what we just might lose, if more people don’t stand up with men like Bill Whittle and the folks at Pajamas Media and PJTV and the Tea Party individuals and stick together to make this horror cease and desist. We’ll have to pay a heavy price, but we’ll be paying a greater price if we don’t.

Your question, “Why isn’t this man running for public office?” is one for the ages, but let me give it a try.

He doesn’t run for public office because he knows that, in today’s political arena, the price to get into office is very high, both financially and personally. He knows that the deck is stacked in favor of incumbents, and that even if he beats the odds, once there he must march to the drumbeat of convention or be ostracized by the ruling senior officials and/or be marginalized and rendered impotent. He knows that to surmount that, he would have to play a game of go-along-to-get-along for so long before he assumed a seat of influence that he would be seriously at risk of having become one of them.

So, he has found or created a place where he can reach a great many people with his voice and his ideas without wallowing in the muck. He can go home at night, feeling good that he hasn’t had to rub shoulders with the very people that he has grown to despise for their selfish power grabs, corrupt shenanigans, and partisan lies.

In short, to quote the other Ken, “He’s too smart for that.”

    Thanks for the post.
