State of Hypocrisy, or More Political Hackery in Massachusetts

Just an update to my previous post on Massachusetts political hackery, Politico is reporting that the Mass State Senate has just approved legislation that will allow Governor “Coupe” Deval Patrick to appoint an interrim senator to replace the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, until the January special election can be held.

Anyone want to bet that, once “Coupe” Deval is voted out and a Republican governor is voted back in, that the rules will change once again in 2012?

Me neither.

I’m pretty sure that Democracy is officially dead in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, not that it wasn’t already…

I’m SO proud to live here and work here and not have any say in who our new senator is going to be until January… Even then I’m not sure my vote will count…

TG, sure your vote counts. It always counts for the Dem running, regardless of what’s marked on the ballot, of course, but it counts!🙂

Stoutcat, you are probably right about that. I wish I could move back to the Granite State (New Hampshire) and make my vote count for real… But with all the Massachusetts residents moving up there to take advantage of low home prices and no sales/income taxes and infesting the state, New Hampshire is becoming North Massachusetts…

Yeah, ain’t that the pits? People visit, love what they see, then move in and start changing things. Suddenly, it’s no longer the beautiful place they used to visit, and they wonder what happened.

Same thing happened in Vermont. Back in the 50s it used to be almost 100% Repbulican, and look at it now…
