The Boston Globe reports:
Banking regulators plan to scrutinize the financial conditions of Citigroup Inc., Bank of America Corp. and more than a dozen other institutions that have received billions from the Treasury Department’s $700 billion bailout pot.
The thing that really gets me is the amount of money that’s flying fast and loose. If you think influence peddling ain’t happening left and right, you’re nuts.
Let’s see, if we apply the drastically understated 10% Cavuto “Snooker Factor”, that comes up to $70,000,000,000. Seventy. Billion. Dollars.
You know what’s sad? Like other bloggers, we here at Grand Rants watch the news like hawks. Still I can’t even tell where this money is coming from. Is it the second half of the TARP? Is it from some other bailout? Whatever…
Truth be told, you can set aside Uberbama’s extraordinary oratory skills and just chill. We’re screwed. Hey! This just in, we just spent another $410 billion complete with 8,000+ earmarks for the last 7 months (March – Sept.) of government. Thank God we’re spending $2.2 million dollars to study grape genetics.
Stop thinking, take your $13, and relax. Soooooeeeee!
