It is with heartfelt sadness that we report the passing of our friend and co-blogger, Gerry Ashley.
Gerry lost his battle with a brain tumor earlier today after a months-long fight against the growth and emerging lesions on his brain.
We will write more later but right now we are dealing with the grief of losing our dear friend.
May flights of angels (including Carl and Dennis Wilson) sing thee to thy rest, Gerry.

So very sorry for your loss, Stoutcat. Wish an internet hug could make it better. Prayers.
Sorry to hear of your loss, dear ones. Gerry must have been something very special, from what you’ve said and written about him. Much love to you both.
Loved reading his posts. Would have like to meet him. Would like to meet Stoutcat and Alan (still with Grand Rants?) someday. Keep writing; love your takes on events.
Thanks, Steve. Gerry was one of a kind, and he will be sorely missed. I promise to start writing again soon, hopefully updating the blog a few times a week. Thanks for standing by us through difficult times.
So very sorry
