From the “Hitting the Nail Right on the Head” Department: Ed Morrissey does just that in describing “The Outrage Threshold on the Left.”
Let’s get this straight. The Left shrugged at Obama’s twenty years of alliance with a minister who spouted an infamous “God Damn America”…
However, Rick Warren offers public support for a California proposition that keeps marriage defined as his faith prescribes, and suddenly Obama has betrayed their trust.
As always, Ed says it so well.

Meanwhile, Melissa Etheridge has actually vetted Pastor Rick, and gives him the Gay & Lesbian Seal of Approval:
I told my manager to reach out to Pastor Warren and say “In the spirit of unity I would like to talk to him.” They gave him my phone number. On the day of the conference I received a call from Pastor Rick, and before I could say anything, he told me what a fan he was. He had most of my albums from the very first one. What? This didn’t sound like a gay hater, much less a preacher.
Well, that’s okay, then.

I like the idea Thomas Sowell presented from one of his readers:
A reader suggests that members of Congress should wear uniforms, like NASCAR drivers, so that we will know who their corporate sponsors are. Many of those in Congress should also wear logos representing the teachers’ unions, environmentalist extremists and other special interests.
Brilliant!

I was going to fisk Joel Stein’s latest column, but I decided it would be too much like shooting fish in a barrel. The man makes it far too easy on us.
I don’t love America. That’s what conservatives are always telling liberals like me. Their love, they insist, is truer, deeper and more complete. Then liberals, like all people who are accused of not loving something, stammer, get defensive and try to have sex with America even though America will then accuse us of wanting it for its body and not its soul. When America gets like that, there’s no winning.
Yes, he really wrote that. Sadly, it just gets worse, as he digs deeper and deeper. Read the whole thing. I think you’ll agree that Glenn Beck is a far better person than I, for actually conversing with Stein as though he were an adult.
UPDATE: Mike Volpi whupped Stein already. Also, HotAir takes him to task.

Lastly, Bill Whittle talks about the Golden Age of Toys–and he’s so right. The don’t make toys like that any more. The video is free to watch, so check it out, and revel in your own memories of the really good stuff!
