Ummm… While Blago’s strong rhetoric (I swore I wasn’t going to put in that link), is mystifyingly stubristic and narcissistic, it is also just plain dumb. When all is said and done, and without the big words, Rod’s goose is cooked. So rather than drag the Democratic Party through its own feeding trough, why doesn’t he just step down? (In other words, it might be wise if he avoids the perils of Sen. Larry “Wide Stance When I’m On the Can” Craig.) If he had one gray cell above his neckline, he’d simply proclaim, “I’ve been bagged!” and then throw himself on the mercy of the court.
But nooo!!! Blago had to promise to fight until his last breath. Well if that’s the way you wanted to handle it, Governor, the very least you could have done was offer up a rousing theme song as a backdrop to your announcement of innocence. My suggestion: the “Chicago Bears Fight Song.”
One last thought though… The last time the Chicago Bears won the Super Bowl was 1985.

Why have him step down voluntarily? The circus has come to town and I’m enjoying every corrupt and idiotic minute of it.
