Like the Pot Calling the Kettle Black

True, the title of this rant are old expressions. But imagine if Sarah Palin had worked the “kettle” phrase into one of her speeches about Barack. Suppose she said something like, “Obama, the consummate Chicago politician, wants to bring change to the politics of Washington? That’s like the pot calling the kettle black.” How would that have played out? Quite simply, The Left would have gone nuts and we all know it.

But the “lipstick on a pig” comment goes beyond politics. In fact, it speaks to the inherent decency and maturity of The Left vs. The Right. The Left is obviously the more youthful of the citizenry. They’re also more prone to rambunctiousness and lack of manners. (How many conservative protesters did you see at either convention breaking windows?)

No, neither John McCain nor Sarah Palin would use an expression like “the pot calling the kettle black” because they respect the sensitivity involved. And if they did, they’d apologize immediately and from the heart.

Politics in general stinks, but Left politics stink distinctly. Like a dead fish.
